The new BMW M3 is the car every one is looking forward to.
Previous BMW M3′s had all different engines, the E 30 had a four cylinder engine while the E 36 and E 46 both had straight six engines. The Current model E92 BMW M3 has a 4.4 liter V8. A lot of people discussed the possibilities of the new engine in the 2014 BMW M3. While downsizing is the overall trend most people count on a straight six with a twin scroll turbo system, as on the BMW 335i for example. Lately however we her more and more rumors about the V6 being developed, at cylinder configuration which is very uncontroversial for BMW.
Why a V6 ?
According to a BMW insider the main reason to use a V-6 engine instead of an in-line six is packaging. the new V-6 engine will be a cut down version of the currently running 4.4 liter V-8. We respect the 3 liter or a 3.2 liter with two turbos in the V angle. The new V-6 engine will produce around 429 brake horsepower and 405 pound feet of torque.
BMW is going to make the new BMW M3 lighter than the current model, mainly because of allow chassis elements. BMW also talks about electric power steering which we found very frightening, we believe the current M3 drives so good mainly because of the way it steers, electric power steering could make the feeling completely dead, in that case you might as well buy an RS5.
The news of a V-6 engine and electric power steering make us feel a bit uneasy. Of course we’ll need to downsize, think about the environment our gas bill and making clever cars. All we can hope is BMW lives up to its greatness and deliver an astonishing new M3.
